before downloading google earth, Im just wondering if street view in the uk has been put on yet, As i remember hearing a month or so ago that google will have it up before xmas.Is google street view working in the uk yet ?
It will not be accessible in the UK in real time. This is because it contravenes the Data Protection Act of 1998 and under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act Europeon Convention.
Access to CTTV by the Public Domain is not allowed by the same two Acts.
Any that you do see for example on TV are several hours old or until after a court conviction and sentence.
But as I said before, you will never see it in real time here.Is google street view working in the uk yet ?
Google maps does not allow my little "street view" icon guy to do anything in the UK or Ireland yet. His passport is either invalid or England's "Big Brother" surveillance people don't want the competition.
Google Earth is cute, but I'd hang out and check into maps.google.com occasionally to see if they've added street views for the UK into the database first.Is google street view working in the uk yet ?
No I dont think it is yet.
Maybe in bits of London.. I dont know?
