read in paper other day that google had redone the maps and you can now go down any street in the uk in much better detail to check things out, where is this found ? i have loaded google earth but its still the same as before, i dont see any new improvements.New street views google earth?
Yes they now have 95% of the UK covered and I even found my mum outside our house lol
Although its Google Maps and Street View you have to use and not Google Earth
Check this site for when they'll be releasing it where you are:

You need to tick the 'Street View' box in the Layers list...
1. In the Layers panel, check 'Street View'. If this feature is available in the current view, photo icons appear at locations with available views.
2. Zoom in until you can see individual streets. Note that if you are close enough, the photo icons appear as spheres.
3. Click a photo icon. A balloon appears.
4. Click Show full screen. The 3D viewer displays imagery of this location.
5. To move around, double click photo icons that appear on the street. You can also look around, zoom and exit at any time.

Go to google.com and the click on the "Maps" link at the top, type in the postcode or location of where you want to see and then drag the lil yellow man above the zoom in/out bar and then it will zoom in and show you the street view.
