Even in Western Europe not all the countries have this function. Moreover in certain places like Germany and Australia they stopped to expand. In Russia for now they have only photos of certain places in Moscow and some other big cities. Why. First, it is very expensive. Second, there is already very good service from Russian company Yandex. Third, penetration of Internet in Russia is less than in USA, Western European and other rich countries. That is why chances to earn money are less.



There is no any mystics, spies and secret agents stories. Just Russia is not interesting for Google company to expand. Actually it was the same situation here with Google as search system, Yahoo, Facebook etc... They did not hurry to work on Russian market, when they decided it was too late because Russian companies had all the market already. I think we see the same story with Google street view.Why doesn't google earth have street view in russia?

its not just russia, most countries dont have street view. russia, doesnt want it, and google didnt want to do it. but yandex has street view
