Are Google earth & Google maps same or have different features? Pl explain what can we do with both separately?

Google Earth and Google Maps are different. Here are the similarities:

* Google updates and owns both of these.

* They both help you to see places in the world.

* You need Internet for both of them, but Google Earth offers a offline mode (I think).

Differences:

* Google Maps is on the Google website, while Google Earth is a downloadable program.

* Google Earth allows you to see actual pictures/videos of the place.

* Google Earth gives more details, and has a 3D buildings setting.

* Google Maps is not as high-quality on showing you the place as Google Earth is.

*Google Earth allows you to explore the Moon and Mars, as well as Earth.

As you can see, Earth kicks Maps' butt to the moon and back. I don't think the OS really matters.

google maps and earth require internet.

google earth is a software.

u can use google street view but its service is limited to US.

Google Earth gives you an idea on the world

Google Maps gives you street names and that kinda thing.
