This problem has started up a few weeks ago, it takes forever for the start up tip to load, and then when i click on any place mark on the map (city, street view, Panoramio, ect.) it will take at least 30 seconds to load. Once in street view, I can click on other cameras from there and it will load as usual. Moving the map and navigating works as usual though. I have windows 7.Why does it take forever to load place marks and photos on Google Earth?
you need to optimize your computer. it is your computer's fault nothing to with Google. Mostly it happenes when your memory is low or registry problem.
To optimise your computer you can download free software from www.download.com

2 Revo Uninstaller
Just run them and then you will see your computer's speed.

It is most likely your connection to the internet. I don't know if you are running off a chord or wifi.
